EXPLORERS
Ages: 6 - 7
Price per session: $358 and $300 for Session 8
Available: Sessions 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 but please note that Session 8 is all girls
Length: 5 days (Monday to Friday), Session 8 is 4 days (Monday to Thursday)
An introductory camp for our youngest campers! Explorers participate in activities with their cabin group as well as campfires, wide games and an overnight camp out at the Explorers Camp Site. We offer a higher ratio of staff to campers for this younger group. Due to the short nature of the session 8, there will be no camp out on Wednesday.

• DISCOVERERS
Ages: 8 - 12
Price per session: $358 and $300 for Session 8
Available: All Sessions but please note that Session 8 is all girls
Length: 5 days (Monday to Friday), Session 8 is 4 days (Monday to Thursday)
Discoverers spend their week trying many exciting activities YWCA YoWoChAs has to offer. In the morning, Discoverers join their cabin group for activities planned by their counsellor. In the afternoon Discoverers choose two interets groups that could inclued the following: High Ropes, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddling, Bug Hunt, Arts and Crafts, Wetlands Interpretation and many more exciting activities. They also participate in campfires, an overnight on-site out trip, all-camp games, swimming and much more. Due to short nature of session 8, there will be no Wednesday night out trip.

• DISCOVERERS Tipi Living
Ages: 10 - 12
Price per session: $358 and $300 for Session 8
Available for Girls: Sessions 2, 5, 7, 8
Available for Boys: Session 1, 4, 6
Length: 5 days (Monday to Friday), Session 8 is 4 days (Monday to Thursday)
Discoverers who choose the Tipi Living programme participate in the regular Discoverers programme as described above but live in a tipi! This is a chance for older Discoverers to have a unique YWCA YoWoChAs experience while still enjoying favourite outdoor activities.

• SAILORS
Ages: 11-15
Price per session: $418
Available: White Sail 1 & 2 Session 2, 3, 4, 5
Available: White Sail 3 - Session 6
Length: 5 days (Monday to Friday)
Sailors spend their days in practical and lecture sessions earning Canadian Yachting Association ( CYA ) White Sail levels certification. In the evening, sailors can continue with sailing or try other activities offered at YWCA YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Centre.

*Please note: Participants must be able to swim 25m unassisted.

PROSPECTOR GIRLS
Ages: 13 - 15 years
Price per session: $393, $300 for Session 8
Available: All Sessions
Length: 5 days (Monday to Friday), Session 8 is 4 days (Monday to Thursday)
Campers opting for the challenge of this advanced camping experience will receive canoe instruction, learn basic belaying and climbing technique, try the most advanced elements on our high ropes course and go on an overnight canoe trip on Lake Wabamun. Prospectors stay in our hill-top cabins, allowing for a more wilderness camping experience.

• PROSPECTOR BOYS
Ages: 13 - 15 years
Price per session: $393
Available: Sessions 1 - 7
Length: 5 days (Monday to Friday)

• LEADERS IN TRAINING
Ages: 14 - 15 (Must be 14 by July 1, 2012)
Price per session: $900
Length: 12 days (Monday to second Friday)
Available: July 9 - 20
This exciting programme will give participants the chance to learn more about group dynamics and examine their personal abilities as a leader. Through classroom and practical sessions, this group will explore leadership theories, share ideas and learn from each other. Skill development in outdoor recreation activities will be a focus as will participation in all-camp events.

*Please note: To apply for this programme a L.I.T. Application Form must be filled out. This form can be obtained from the YWCA YoWoChAs office or follow the link below. Should we receive more applicants than we have places then all applicants will participate in an interview process.

• COUNSELLORS IN TRAINING
Ages: 15 - 16 (Must be 15 by July 1, 2012)
Price per session: $1400
Length: 26 days (Monday to fourth Friday)
Available: July 30 - August 24 2012
Participants spend their time learning to lead children in the outdoors. The first three weeks are spent learning how to lead children and YoWoChAs activities, as well as receiving First Aid certification and the Pleasure Craft Operator's Card. The forth week, CITs will be paired with experienced counsellors for a five-day practical counselling experience. This program is the recommended pre-requisite for YWCA YoWoChAs staff members.

*Please note: To apply for this programme a C.I.T. Application Form must be filled out. This form can be obtained from the YWCA YoWoChAs office or follow the link below. • ALL GIRLS CAMP
Spend the last week of your summer enjoying all the excitement of camp with
all girls! All Girls Camp encourages friendship and camaraderie among girls,
while eliminating outside pressures that sometimes hinder the ability to learn
and have fun. This unique camping experience is offered in session 8. This shortened week (Monday to Thursday) is the perfect end to your summer!
The following programmes available: Explorers (ages 6 - 7), Discoverers
(ages 8 - 12), Discoverers Tipi Living (ages 10 - 12), and Prospectors
(ages 13 - 15).

*Please note: Staff for All Girls Camp is co-ed.

• FOOD ALLERGY  and CELIAC CAMP
In partnership with Alberta Allergy Information Association and the Sherwood Park Celiac Support Group, we are pleased to host a camp for children who would otherwise not be able to attend summer camp. Food Allergy Camp is for children with severe food allergies and Celiac Camp is for children who suffer from celiac disease. This camp, to be held during Session 3, will enable children with severe and life threatening food allergies to enjoy camp life in a safe environment. To learn more about these partenerships and the additional dietary and medical resources available during this week, please contact the YWCA YoWoChAs office.

*Please note: Session 3 is open and available to children with and without food allergies and regular programming and menu options will continue to be offered during this week. In addition, we are able to accommodate campers with food allergies in all sessions with advanced notice.

• CAMPERSHIPS
Through generous donations made by community members, the YWCA Edmonton's YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Centre is able to provide financial assistance to campers in need. Campership application forms are available from the YoWoChAs office. ( Please see contact information. )

Consider helping campers who would not be necessarily be able to afford camp
by donating to the Campership fund. All donations are tax deductible and 100%
of Campership donations go towards camp fees.
