Services Assistant
Under the leadership of the Support Services Supervisor,
the Support Services Assistant assists in preparing and serving
meals
Work Environment
The Support Services Assistant must:
Be able to work with distractions and background
noise
Be able to work with/around young people (ages five
through eighteen), as well as adults
Show initiative, flexibility and a team orientation
Be available for evening and weekend work
Qualifications Required:
Food Safe certification
Customer service orientation
Experience in institutional food services
Ability and desire to provide excellent food service
and housekeeping for clientele
Experience working in a recreation environment is
an asset
Ability and desire to provide excellent meals for
YWCA YoWoChAs Outdoor Education
Centre clientele
Experience housekeeping in a commercial environment
is an asset
WHMIS training is an asset

Programers - 4 Positions
The
Outdoor Programmer participates in the planning, delivery, maintenance
and administration of the centre's programme, site, facility,
supplies and equipment.
Qualifications Required:
Current Standard First Aid and CPR
Programme planning and delivery experience in outdoor
recreation
Experience and/or certification or willingness to
obtain certification in all programme activities offered by YWCA
YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Centre (e.g. Canoeing, Kayaking, Ropes
Courses, Environmental Education, Leadership Development), National
Lifeguard Service is preferred
Experience with residential summer camp
On site residence is a requirement of this position
Evening and weekend work is a requirement of this
position
Hours of work will vary with registered programming

Regardless of What
Position you are interested in...
All programme staff members are required to live on site, accordingly
room and partial board are provided. Due to the residential nature
of the centre actual hours of work vary, however, programme hours
are from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. All positions work under the direction
and guidance of the Programme Coordinator or the Programme Technician.
All positions are required to submit a clear Criminal Record Check
as well as a clear Intevention Record Check from Alberta Children's
services.
